ASHEVILLE — Amanda Lane Wise and Andrew Truett Cathy exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony April 21 at 5 p.m. at Vista at Inn at Biltmore Estate, with the Rev. Drew Clark and the Rev. Chris Patton officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Martha Wise of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Roger Wise, Lila Shelby and Martha Carson of Goldsboro and the late Raymond Carson of Fayetteville.

She is a 2001 graduate of Wayne Christian School and a 2005 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations and a minor in Spanish.

The groom is the son of Daniel and Rhonda Cathy of Fayetteville, Ga., and the grandson of S. Truett and Jeanette Cathy of Hampton, Ga., and Ross and Dorothy Palmer of Jonesboro, Ga.

He is a 1997 graduate of Landmark Christian School of Georgia and a 2001 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in business economics. He is employed as a Chick-fil-A operator in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her family.

She wore a vanilla silk princess satin strapless sheath, crystal embroidered belt with a satin ribbon tie, trumpet skirt and a sweep train.

Her headpiece was a two-tiered corded ivory veil.

The bride carried lavender peonies and garden roses.

Satcie Edge Moore of Bethlehem, Pa., was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Kara Tolley of Columbia, S.C., Amerique Sileno of Raleigh, Lindsey Sanders of Wilmington, Jennifer Ullman of Cary and Sarah Duckett of Knoxville, Tenn.

Pete Morton of Asheville was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Spencer Wise of Goldsboro, Jeff Maday of Jonesboro, Ga., Ross Cathy of Fayetteville, Ga., Rob Ivy of Atlanta, Ga., and Bill Thorn.

Maddie Grace Carson of Fayetteville, Meghan Bennet of Lexington and Faith Palmer of Jonesboro were flower girls.

A program of wedding music was provided by Dan Cathy, father of the groom, trumpeter.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in The Vanderbilt room of Biltmore Estate.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple reside in St. Petersburg.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the Horse Barn at Biltmore Estate.
