Allen - Wiseman
Heidi Jean Wiseman and Jason Daniel Allen of Mount Olive exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 31 at 11:30 a.m. at United in Christ Church.
The bride is the daughter of Douglas Dewight and Darlene Howell Wiseman of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Billy and Beulah Howell of Goldsboro and the late Gene and Gaynell Wiseman.
She is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and Meredith College.
The groom is the son of Raymond Allen and Barbara Murleen Seaton and the grandson of the late Henry Allen, Ann Allen and the late James and Essye Mae Cato.
He graduated from Southern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College. He is employed with Mount Olive Pickle Co.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by hr parents.
She wore a satin asymmetrical A-line gown with beaded lace appliqué detail with a chapel-length train.
She carried a bouquet of red roses.
Amanda Johnson was her sister’s matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Melissa Bland, college roommate of the bride, and Mandi Butler and Jessica Wolf, friends of the bride.
Brandon Howard was his friend’s best man.
Ushers were Tyler Wiseman, brother of the bride; Stephen Johnson, brother-in-law of the bride; and Josh Wilder, friend of the couple.
Carlie Carter was flower girl. Cameron Taljaard was rig bearer.
Lisa Carter directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Shannon Melvin.
A program of wedding music was provided by Sean Melvin and Katina Davis, vocalists, and Mike Davis, sound engineer.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple reside in Kenly.
Events held before the wedding included a lingerie shower Nov. 11 hosted by Amanda Johnson; a pounding shower Nov. 11 at Meredith College hosted by Melissa Bland; and a shower Nov. 5 at United in Christ Church hosted by Lisa Carter.
Family and friends held a rehearsal dinner at United in Christ’s family life center.
