Crystal Anne Sullivan of Greenville and Patrick Joseph Horton of Greenville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Dec. 30 at 3 p.m. at Stoney Creek Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard A. Glosson officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Sonny Brooks and Debra Sue Sullivan of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Velma Rose and the late Jesse Brooks Sullivan of Kenly and Nelson A. Palmer of Inverness, Fla., and the late Lois M. Palmer.

She is a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and attends East Carolina University in the health fitness specialist program. She is employed as a physical therapist technician at Pitt Memorial Hospital.

The groom is the son of James and Linda Benge of Sallisaw, Okla., and the grandson of Betty Jean Benge and the late E. J. Benge of Sallisaw and the late Everett “Tommy” and Patricia Tomlinson.

He is a graduate of Sallisaw High School. He is serving in the Marine Corps as a sergeant stationed at Cherry Point in Havelock.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a strapless white satin dress trimmed in candy-apple red on the bodice and hem and red- laced and tied in the back.

Her white veil with candy apple red trim was attached to a silver tiara accented with red and white rhinestones.

The bride carried a dome-shaped bouquet with red roses, miniature white roses and white lilies.

Jessica Leigh Winders was her cousin’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Laura Nicole Wetzel and Christy Pittman of Greenville, friends of the bride.

Justin Bowns was his friend’s best man.

Groomsmen were Scott Benge, brother of the groom, and Jason Brooks Sullivan, brother of the bride.

Ushers were Scott Benge, brother of the groom, and Jason Brooks Sullivan, brother of the bride.

Macie Cuddington, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Spencer Joseph Horton, son of the groom, was ringbearer.

Stacey Taylor of Greenville directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Ashley Winders, cousin of the bride. Carianne Winders, cousin of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Amy Leininger, pianist; Allison Connelly, cellist; and John Snell, audio technician.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dinner reception in the church fellowship hall.

The couple will take their honeymoon trip later in the year. They reside in Greenville.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal shower hosted by the bride’s family and a bridal brunch hosted by Teresa Winders, aunt of the bride, and Jessica, Ashley and Carianne, cousins of the bride.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the home of the bride’s parents.
