Mr. and Mrs. Schroeder

HICKORY — Sally Frances Periconi and Harry Lee Schroeder of Arlington, Va., exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 21 at 4 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Daly and the Rev. Brian Ballard officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David and Frances Periconi of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of the late Eugene and Ruth Periconi of Binghamton, N.Y., Beatrice O’Conner of Indianapolis, Ind., and the late Estell O’Conner of Cloverdale, Ind.

She is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne College and Appalachian State University. She is employed as a Spanish teacher at Prince William County Schools in Virginia.

The groom is the son of Dr. Lawson and Carole Schroeder of Stone Mountain, Ga., and the grandson of the late George and Lorraine Schroeder and the late Harry and Edith Malone of Memphis, Tenn.

He is a graduate of Oglethorpe University. He is employed as a regional sales manager with the Washington Capitals Hockey Team in Washington DC.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a satin, spaghetti strap empire-waisted gown with gold and silver beading.

She wore a crystal and pearl headpiece and a mid-length veil.

The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of calla lilies, roses and mums.

Frances Periconi was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Lilly Grossman, Jeannie Jandrew, Allison Periconi, sister-in-law of the bride, Dawn Carpenter and Gayle Ballard.

Dr. Lawson Schroeder was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Andrew Gregory, Dale Stephens, Steve Periconi, brother of the bride, Brad Dail and Jeremy Neisser.

Ushers were Sgt. Timothy Schroeder, Philip Schroeder and Michael Schroeder, brothers of the groom.

Lydia Periconi, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Jacob Schroeder, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.

Karen Kahill directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by David Periconi, pianist; Jessica Grant and Cleve Hill, vocalists; and Tim Warren, organist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Market on Main in Hickory.

After a wedding trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the couple reside in Alexandria.

Events held before the wedding included a shower Aug. 21 at Madison Avenue Baptist Church hosted by Betty Williamson, Joyce Edwards and Grace Williford.
