TRENTON — Melissa Gregory Attoun and Graham Micah Heath of New Bern exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Oct. 7 at 3 p.m. at Quaker Neck Country Club, with the Rev. Debbie Isley-Roghelia officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Myrtle Louise Gregory of Burgaw, the late Romie Calvin Gregory of Goldsboro and Brian and Kathy Fischel and the granddaughter of the late Romie Charles and Thelma Ijames Gregory of Cooleemee and Joan York and the late James York of Goldsboro.

She is a 1996 honor graduate of Goldsboro High School. She attended Campbell University and Lenoir Community College. She was a member of the vocational and national honor societies. She is employed as a medical records clerk at Eastern Carolina Internal Medicine.

The groom is the son of Sally Riggs and the late Garland Ray Heath of Pollocksville and the grandson of the late Fred Heath and Ruth Heath of Maysville and the late Ivey and Christine Riggs of Pollocksville.

He graduated with honors from Jones Senior High School in 1997 and Craven Community College with an associate degree in business management. He is employed as operations director at Smithfield’s Chicken and Barbecue.

The bride was escorted by her uncle and given in marriage by her family.

She wore a strapless A-line gown of ivory satin with an ivory organza overlay draped to one side. The bodice was trimmed with pearl and crystal beading that was scattered down the skirt that flowed into a chapel-length train.

She chose a pearl and crystal tiara and a multi-tiered fingertip veil of ivory organza accented with pearl and crystal beading along its scalloped edges.

The bride carried a bouquet of open ivory roses with a scattering of fall flowers.

Sarah Grace Fischel was her sister’s maid of honor, while Holly Heath James, sister of the groom, was matron of honor.

Bridget Michelle Harmon, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.

Jason Muse was his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Steven Heath, brother of the groom, and John Underwood, friend of the groom.

Maegan and Melana Muse, nieces of the groom, were flower girls. Rami Attoun, son of the bride, was ringbearer.

Tracy Muse directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Brandy Heath.

A program of wedding music was provided by Shane Bjorling and Holly James, vocalists; Dee Baxter-Pellegrino, violinist; and Alison Mossey-Ponzi, flutist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Quaker Neck Country Club. A four-tiered wedding cake was served.

After a wedding cruise to the Bahamas and Key West, Fla., the couple reside in New Bern.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal luncheon Oct. 6 at the Chelsea of New Bern hosted by the bride, and a bridal shower Aug. 13 at the home of Tracy Muse hosted by Ms. Muse, Shelia Heath, Holly James and Sally Heath.

A rehearsal dinner was held Oct. 6 at Quaker Neck Country Club.
