Whitfield - Cluff
SAVANNAH, Ga. — Reagan Denise Cluff and Matthew Stephen Whitfield of Raleigh exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 23 at 4:30 p.m. at Chatham Square, with the Rev. Michael Whitfield officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Curtis Paul and Claudia Edmon Cluff of Raleigh and the granddaughter of Marilyn Pierson and the late George William Cluff of Cary and Donald Edmon Sr. of Guadalajara, Mexico.
She is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in interior merchandising/design and a minor in business.
The groom is the son of Beverly Ray Whitfield Jr. and Jennifer Vernon Whitfield of Goldsboro and the grandson of Beverly Ray Whitfield Sr. and Inez Lewis Whitfield of Mount Olive and Ralph Lee and the late Mary Pigford Vernon of Warsaw.
He graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial distribution.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
She wore an ivory strapless A-Line gown with champagne trim on the waist and hem. The contoured bodice was embroidered with crystal beading finishing at the waistline. Embroidery and beading continued on the champagne hemline band, which wrapped around to a chapel-length train.
Heather Cluff Blanchard of Raleigh was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Susan Whitfield Smith of Charlotte and Alison Leigh Davis of Greenville.
Beverly Ray Whitfield Jr. was his son’s best man.
Groomsmen were Michael Keith Smith of Charlotte and George Edward Cogdell Jr. of Hatteras.
Ushers were Alex Ross Pergerson of Greenville and Howard Edgar Blanchard III of Raleigh.
Debbie Pergerson directed the wedding.
A program of wedding music was provided by Mario Incoviaia, violinist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at the Marshall House in Savannah.
After a wedding trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple reside in Raleigh.
Events held before the wedding included a bridal luncheon Sept. 22 at SoHo South Cafe of Savannah hosted by Debbie Pergerson and MaryLee McKay, aunts of the groom; a couples’ shower Aug. 12 at the home of Eddie and Heather Blanchard of Raleigh hosted by the Blanchards; a bachelor party July 28 and 29 in Atlanta, Ga.; a bachelorette party July 28 and 29 in Wrightsville Beach; and an engagement party June 24 at the home of Boots and Jenny Whitfield hosted by the Whitfields.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Sept. 22 at Lady and Sons of Savannah.
