Diana Timna Thomas and William Brandon Holland exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. at the home of Rex and Ruth Sasser, with Catherine Smith officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mark Milton and Janet Louise Thomas of Pikeville and the granddaughter of Elizabeth Thomas and the late Milt Thomas and Rosella Shirey and the late John F. Shirey of Ligonier, Pa.

She is a 2000 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and a 2003 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in applied medical science. She attends Wilson Technical Community College for a nursing degree.

The groom is the son of James William Holland Jr. and Cheryl Sasser Holland of Goldsboro and the grandson of James William and Nora Holland of Pikeville and Rex and Ruth Sasser of Goldsboro.

He graduated from Rosewood High School in 1999, Wayne Community College with a welding certificate and Johnston Community College with a license. He is employed as a truck driver at Pate Dawson Co.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a satin A-line white gown with an apron front collected by a diamond. It had pink and blue embroidery on the bust, hemline and train.

Her headpiece was a pearl and diamond headband.

Kaitlin Thomas was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Janell Hazelton, Kristen Holland and Ashley Mccabe of Goldsboro; Jennifer Hood of Mount Olive; and Nicole Anders of Pikeville.

James William Holland Jr. was best man.

Groomsmen were Josh Thomas and Chris Anders of Pikeville; Anthony Garner and Dean Barnes of Goldsboro; and Clint Howell of Hampstead.

Ushers were Mark G. Thomas of Pikeville and Rex Threewitts, Chris Rooney and Rocky Barnes of Goldsboro.

Lacie Thomas was flower girl, escorted by Austin Thomas. Austin Mccabe was ringbearer, pulling Amelia Thomas and Magan Thomas in a wagon.

Annette Rooney directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Tasha Bollin and Mary Katherine Humphrey.

A program of wedding music was provided by Chris Anders and Anthony Garner.

Following the ceremony, a poolside reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents.

A wedding trip to Jamaica is planned for next year. The couple reside in Rosewood.

Events held before the wedding included a floating miscellaneous shower Sept. 10 at Rosewood Baptist Church and a lingerie shower in Greenville during the bachelorette party.

A rehearsal dinner was held Sept. 29 at the home of the groom’s parents.
