Shana Lynn Koegel and Christopher Brian Holloman exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Sept. 23 at 3 p.m. at Lane Tree Country Club, with the Rev. Rose Hicks officiating.

The bride is the daughter of John and Debby Koegel and the granddaughter of Jim and Dot Peleska, the late Charlie and Carolyn Koegel and the late Stephanie Koegel of Maryland.

She a 1999 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2004 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate degree in information systems and an associate degree in information systems/networking with a certificate in Cisco. She is employed as a computer technician with Wayne County Public Schools.

The groom is the son of Rudy and Sherry Holloman of Princeton and the grandson of Robert and Peggy Holloman, Dolly Hester and the late Horace Hester of Princeton.

He is a 1999 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2005 graduate of Campbell University School of Pharmacy with a Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree. He is employed with Thomas Drugs of Wilson.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a formal floor-length gown of Italian satin. The fitted strapless bodice was embellished with bugle beads and crystals. The sweetheart neckline was outlined in bugle beads. The A-line floor-length skirt and chapel-length train were adorned with garlands of bugle beads in an embroidery design bordered in bugle beads and crystals.

Her tiara adorned with pearls, crystals and rhinestones was attached to a single-tiered veil of silk illusion, the edge scalloped with bugle beads, pearls and sequins.

The bride carried a cascade of red and white roses with streaming ivy.

Patti Stovall served as her friend’s matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Tammy Oxford, Lindsay Gale and Heidi Rogers, friends of the bride.

Rudy Holloman was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Dan Stovall, Mike Jones and Michael Everett, friends of the groom, and Scott Holloman, brother of the groom.

Beth Stovall was the junior bridesmaid.

Debra Oxford was flower girl. Ben Stovall was ringbearer.

Joan Hester, aunt of the groom, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributed programs was Suzette Williamson, aunt of the groom.

A program of wedding music was provided by DJ Rick.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception and dance at Lane Tree Country Club. Daphne Everett poured punch. Lily Worrell cut and served the wedding cake.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple reside in Pikeville.

Events held before the wedding included a bachelorette party in Raleigh Sept. 9 hosted by Patti Stovall, Debby Koegel and Tammy Oxford; a tool party at Outback Steakhouse Aug. 18 hosted by Dan Stovall; a bridal luncheon Aug. 12 hosted by Debby Koegel, the bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants; a bridal shower Aug. 6 at Ebenezer Church hosted by the groom’s mother and Suzette Williamson, aunt of the groom; a bachelorette party at the beach July 21 hosted by Maria Singleton, Karen Lee and Jennifer Grantham, friends of the bride; and a bridal shower at the home of the bride’s parents June 4 hosted by Patti Stovall.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Lanetree Country Club. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
