APEX — Rebekah Ruth Arthur and Brian Thomas Grube exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony Aug. 5 at the Raleigh Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Max Stainback officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Leon and Jackie Arthur of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Edna C. Turner of Mount Olive, the late William H. Turner, Harold B. Arthur of Goldsboro and the late Marie G. Arthur.

She is a 2003 graduate of Campbell University with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She is employed as a clinical pharmacist at Duke Medical Center of Durham and as an assistant professor at Campbell University School of Pharmacy.

The groom is the son of Gerald and Linda Grube of Chambersburg, Pa., and the grandson of the late Harry and Harriett Grube of Reading, Pa., and the late Joseph and Mildred Keranen of Chester, N.J.

He graduated from the College of New Jersey in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and music education and attends Duke University School of Law. He completed a two-year mission in Mexico for the church.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a satin princess A-line gown with an empire waistline. It had a pearl-studded bodice and a divided organza overlay with beaded embroidery and short sleeves.

She wore her mother’s mantilla of tulle accented with Venetian lace.

The bride carried a round hand-held bouquet of white hydrangeas and white roses.

Amanda Dugan of Chapel Hill served her sister was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Amy Arthur of Buies Creek, sister of the bride, and Leann Arthur of St. Pauls, sister-in-law of the bride.

Tommy Bryan served his friend as best man.

Groomsmen were Craig and Mark Grube, brothers of the groom, and William Arthur, brother of the bride.

Marin and Gwendolyn Arthur of St. Pauls, nieces of the bride, were flower girls.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s family held a reception in the LDS Institute of Religion building. Catherine Carter, great-aunt of the bride, poured punch. Sharon Turner, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake. Shirley Baker, aunt of the groom, presided at the register. Rhonda Houston, friend of the bride, assisted.

Events held before the wedding included a shower July 22 at the home of Amanda Dugan of Chapel Hill hosted by Ms. Dugan and Amy Arthur, sisters of the bride; a miscellaneous shower July 17 at Duke Medical Center hosted by Tracie Rothrock-Christian, co-worker of the bride; and a shower July 15 at the home of Carroll and Sharon Turner of Mount Olive hosted by the bride’s family.

The groom’s family held a rehearsal dinner Aug. 4 at the LDS Institute of Religion building.
