Courtney Lee Carroll and Douglas Ray Lane exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 15 at 4 p.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Neal E. Wingfield officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jan Lee Carroll of Mount Olive and Todd and Jennifer Carroll of Goldsboro and the granddaughter of Bill and Peggy Carroll of Dudley, Herb and Margie Corder of Goldsboro and the late Bill and Jane Terry Lee of Mount Olive.

She attends James Sprunt Community College for a cosmetology degree. She is employed at Hair Works.

The groom is the son of Roger and Evelyn Lane of Mount Olive and the grandson of Carson and Louise Lane, Fred Hardison and the late Margaret Hardison of Mount Olive.

He is employed at Wayne Electric.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her family.

She wore a formal gown of organza with a halter neckline embellished with beads and embroidery. Embroidery adorned the full skirt and chapel-length train.

Her veil of tulle was adorned with crystal teardrops.

Jamie Faulk of Youngsville, sister of the groom, served as matron of honor, while Holly Wiggins of Mount Olive was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Keli Greene of Wallace, Sarah Snowden of Pikeville and Jessica Davidson, Staci Hinson and Scarlett Jackson of Mount Olive.

Roger Lane was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were J.J. Faulk of Youngsville, brother-in-law of the groom; Ray Herring of Seven Springs; Wes Lane, cousin of the groom; Chris Faulk; Matt Moore; and Marshall Hinson of Mount Olive.

Honorary bridesmaids were Nicole Parker of Mount Olive and Hannah Sumner of Beulaville.

Shae Horton of Faison was miniature bride. Davis Carroll of Goldsboro, brother of the bride, was miniature groom.

Kaylyn Lane of Dudley, daughter of the groom, and Graycen Faulk of Youngsville, niece of the groom, were flower girls. Jackson and Zachary Taylor of Rockledge, Fla., cousins of the bride, were ringbearers.

Cindy Carroll of Arden, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding.

A program of wedding music was provided by Alice Vickory, pianist; Page Barwick, violinist; and Michelle Martin, vocalist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Lindsay Jarnagin of Goldsboro, cousin of the bride, poured punch. Delette Jarnagin of Goldsboro, aunt of the bride, served the wedding cake.

After a wedding trip to the coast, the couple reside in Mount Olive.

Events held before the wedding included a bridal luncheon July 14 at El Paz hosted by Jennifer Carroll, stepmother of the bride, Susan Basden, Delette Jarnagin and Cindy Carroll, aunts of the bride, and Peggy Carroll, grandmother of the bride; a bridal luncheon July 10 at Texas Steakhouse hosted by Alicia Horton; and a bridal shower June 4 at the home of Evelyn Lane of Mount Olive hosted by Ms. Lane and Jamie Faulk.

The groom’s parents and Carson and Louise Lane, grandparents of the groom, held a rehearsal dinner July 14 at the church.
