RALEIGH — Rebecca Lynn Bolding of Chapel Hill and John Stephenson Thomas exchanged vows July 1 at 5:30 p.m. at Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Teresa Finch Bolding and Dr. William Robert Bolding of Raleigh and the granddaughter of retired Maj. and Mrs. Robert Noel Bolding of Fremont and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Lawrence Finch of Pikeville.

She is a 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She is employed at Wake Medical Center.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Thomas Jr. of Raleigh and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Thomas Sr. of Franklin, Va., Mrs. Jesse Clyde Stephenson Jr. of Boykins, Va., and the late Mr. Stephenson.

He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science and attends Southeastern Seminary of Wake Forest. He was a member of Chi Psi Fraternity.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Jessica Lauren Bolding of Raleigh served as her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Isabel Fe Finch of Chapel Hill, Teresa Maria Finch of New York, N.Y., and Laura Anne Garrett of Yorktown, Va., cousins of the bride; Amanda Jean Gilbert of Denver, N.C.; Susan Claire Gooding of Raleigh; and Anne Eleanor Thomas of Raleigh, sister of the groom.

John T. Thomas Jr. was his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Robert Lawrence Bolding of Raleigh, brother of the bride, William Griffin Duke of Greenville, Thomas Ryan Gallaher of Kinston, David Jonathan Graham of Bear, Del., Charles Stuart Halley of Raleigh and David William Murray of Hendersonville.

Landon Robert Bolding, son of the bride, was ringbearer.

Peggy Eldridge Swartzel and Emmy S. Woodall directed the wedding.

Leslie Elizabeth Mitchell of Charleston, S.C., distributed programs. Sarah Michelle Madding of Statesville was the Scripture reader.

Leslie Finch of Wilson, cousin of the bride, and Katherine Alipour of Raleigh greeted guests.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jessica Garrett, vocalist, and Sharon Lowman, organist.

Following the ceremony, a reception and dance were held at the Cardinal Club.

After a wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii, the couple reside in Raleigh.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Caffe’ Luna hosted by the bride’s mother; Leigh Garrett, aunt; and Susan Gooding, friend.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 30 at North Ridge Country Club.
