MOUNT OLIVE — Morgan Elizabeth Crowe and Patrick Forrest Abrams exchanged vows July 15 at 5 p.m. at Rodgers Chapel at Mount Olive College, with Pastor Ashley Summerlin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Gayle Roberts Crowe and T.C. Crowe of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Estene Miller Roberts and the late William R. Roberts of Calypso and the late John Robert and Helen Morgan Crow of Faison.

She is a 2000 graduate of North Duplin High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. She is employed as a first-grade teacher at North Duplin Elementary.

The groom is the son of Donald Ray “Buck” and Marie Kilpatrick Abrams of Mount Olive and the granddaughter of Maggie Hopkins Kilpatrick and the late Forrest Clifton Kilpatrick of Mount Olive and the late Moses and Fannie Margaret Abrams of Tarboro.

He graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 1996 and East Carolina University in 2001 with a major in economics and a minor in business. He is employed as a customer support and purchasing agent with AgProvision Inc. of Kenansville.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

She wore a candlelight dress of luster satin and Schiffli lace with crystal beading. The scalloped Basque waistline led to a castillion train covered with buttons and beading.

She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and roses accented with blue ribbon.

Skip Tucker served his sister as man of honor.

Bridesmaids were Ashley Graham, Brooks Daly and Ashley Wiggins of Mount Olive, Olivia Lewis of Faison, Sabre Kilpatrick of Greenville and Maegan Parsons of Greensboro.

Buck Abrams served as his son’s best man.

Groomsmen were Dallas Abrams of Garner, Mitchell Abrams and Dr. Jeremy Weeks of Mount Olive, Cliff Kilpatrick of Greenville, Collin Kilpatrick of Fayetteville, Cuyler Von Wald of Chapel Hill and Bryan Caton of Dudley.

Kim Cooper and Janet Byrd of Andrews, S.C., directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jordan Precythe. Alex Precythe distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Gloria Morgan, pianist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Southern Wayne Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Gray Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Morgan greeted guests. Kelly Wallace and Jennifer Dail, cousins of the bride, poured punch. Ellen and Bevin Dail, cousins of the bride, served the wedding cake.

After a wedding trip to Hilton Head, S.C., the couple resides in Mount Olive.

Events held before the wedding included a bridesmaids’ brunch July 15 at the home of Anne Taylor of Faison hosted by Mrs. Taylor, Olivia Lewis, Kathy Lewis and Anne Lewis; a floating shower June 25 at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church hosted by Ruth Smith, Janet Byrd, Betty Gufford, Kelly Wallace, Tammy Hall, Angie Tucker, Donnie Byrd and Pinky Dixon; a bachelor weekend June 9 through 11 in Myrtle Beach, S.C., hosted by the groomsmen and friends of the groom; a bachelorette weekend June 9 through 11 in Myrtle Beach hosted by bridesmaids and friends of the bride; a wedding shower and party June 3 at Sleepy Creek; a dinner party June 2 at the Country Squire in Kenansville.

The groom’s parents held a luau rehearsal dinner and party at the home of Tom and Iris Kilpatrick.
