FAYETTEVILLE — Crystal Lynn Boucher and Matthew Zebadiah Callahan of Fayetteville exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony June 23 at 5 p.m. at Cross Creek Fountain, officiated by Pete Davis.

The bride is the daughter of Dixie Smith Boucher and Robert James Boucher of Fayetteville and the granddaughter of Betty Markwell of Jensen Beach, Fla., Leo Smith of Pamplico, S.C., and the late Leopold “Leo” and Lottchen Probst Boucher of Fayetteville.

She is a 2001 graduate of Southview High School and a 2005 graduate of Fayetteville State University with a bachelor degree in elementary education. She is employed as a fourth-grade teacher at Mary McArthur Elementary School.

The groom is the son of Deborah Hodnett Callahan of Fayetteville and Dennis Vaughn Callahan and the grandson of Myrtle Hodnett and Donald and Ava Callahan of Goldsboro and Carl Hodnett of Dudley.

He graduated from Douglas Byrd High School in 1997. He is employed in sales at Pepsi Bottling Ventures.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.

She wore a floral embroidered and beaded white satin strapless gown with an alter train.

She carried a cascading bouquet of white cattelya and dendrobium orchids.

Bobbi Kaye Boucher served as her sister’s maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Dana Laster and Martha Lee Phelps.

Daniel Callahan served as his brother’s best man.

Groomsmen were Eric Peele and Cody Carpenter.

Tianaya Locklear, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Shane Locklear, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

Flor Adams was a special helper.

A program of wedding music was provided by Kevin Brown.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Peadens Banquet Hall of Fayetteville. A five-tiered wedding cake topped with cascading blue and white flowers and bows was served.

After a wedding trip to Playa Azul, Costa Rica, the couple reside in Fayetteville.

Events held before the wedding included a shower at Sammio’s Restaurant of Hope Mills hosted by Dana Laster, friend of the bride, and a shower at Mary McArthur Elementary School hosted by the hospitality committee.
