Katie Rose Evans and Carlos Mark Lilly exchanged vows in a double-ring ceremony July 8 at 2 p.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Dann Patrick and the Rev. Rex Evans, father of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Rex Evans and the late Angie Evans of Princeton and the granddaughter of Rachel Penny of Princeton and Cecil Rose, the late Ollie Evans and Herbert Evans of Rosewood.

She is 2004 homeschool graduate.

The groom is the son of Mark and Nancy Lilly of Goldsboro, the grandson of Frank and Phyllis Facello and the late Carlos and Emma Lilly of Beckley, W.Va., and the great-grandson of Hallie Painter of Beckley.

He graduated from Faith Christian Academy in 1999. He is employed as a police officer with Goldsboro Police Department.

The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her father.

She wore a white silk and satin gown. The bodice was beaded with bugle beads and seed pearls with a satin overlapping band along the neckline. The full skirt had pleats in the back and a rounded waistline. A hand-beaded band of bugle beads and pearls decorated the hemline.

Her single-tiered veil of silk illusion adorned with rhinestones was attached to a double-arch tiara of rhinestones.

The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies.

Laura Marshall of Rosewood served her friend as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Shanna Miller of Pikeville, sister of the groom, and Paige Hayden of Romeo, Mich., and Angie Meadows of Roseville, Mich., friends of the bride.

Mark Lilly served as his son’s best man.

Ushers were Josh Evans of Asheboro, Kelvin Norris and Ben Thomas of Princeton and Bryant Rouse of LaGrange, cousins of the bride.

Groomsmen were Chris Evans of Princeton, brother of the bride; Matthew Miller of Pikeville, brother-in-law of the groom; and Mike Kabler of Goldsboro, friend of the groom.

Bethany and Holly Evans of Princeton, sisters of the bride, were junior bridesmaids.

Lilly Miller of Pikeville, niece of the groom, and Jessica Booth of Roseville, friend of the bride, were flower girls. Luke Miller of Pikeville, nephew of the groom, and Wyatt Billings of Sterling Heights, Mich., friend of the bride, were ringbearers.

Sue Floars, friend of the couple, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Stephanie Smith, friend of the couple.

Brianna and Evan White of Osprey, Fla., cousins of the groom, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jan Haas and Melissa Moran, pianists, and Kevin Denton of Goldsboro, Gordon Rohroff of Capac, Mich., Wendy Billings of Sterling Heights and Keri Booth of Roseville, vocalists.

Following the ceremony, ladies of Faith Church held a reception.

After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Princeton.

Events held before the wedding included a household shower hosted by ladies of Faith Free Will Baptist Church; a household shower in Romeo hosted by Faith Free Will Baptist Church; a lingerie shower hosted by Shanna Miller, Laura Marshall and Kristie Mason; a household shower at the home of Rachel Penny hosted by Shelby Clapp and Sue Langley; and a bridal luncheon at the home of Debbie Worley hosted by family.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner July 7 at the church.
