PATETOWN — Kylie Gardner Hill became the bride of Steven Matthew Craft Saturday, June 24, at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Marty Gurganus officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Free Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Parents of the bride are Tammy Gardner of Pikeville and Jerry and Pepper Hill of Rocky Point. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James E. “Hoss” Gardner of Pikeville and Mr. and Mrs. Envid Hill of Snow Hill.

Parents of the groom are Ellen Bissette of Selma and Stuart and Joyce Craft of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Craft of Pikeville, Dorothy Bissette of Selma and the late Chester Bissette.

Given in marriage and escorted by her parents, the bride wore a white sleeveless gown with a modified V-neckline front and back with a dropped waistline overlaid in sequins and pearls. The full-length of layers of illusion was overlaid in lace motifs scattered in pearls and sequins edged in lace around the hem with pearls and sequins. A detachable cathedral train was attached at the waist by rosettes trimmed in lace, pearls and sequins with motifs throughout.

For her headpiece, she chose a barrette lined with diamonds and pearls. She carried her mother’s silk cascade bouquet of white roses, sweetheart roses, lilies of the valley, pink roses and long greenery.

Danielle Smith of Pikeville, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Lindsey Cotton of Princeton, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christy Gardner, cousin of the bride; Courtney Bradford, friend of the bride; Stephanie Craft, sister of the groom; and Brittney Reeves of Boiling Springs, friend of the couple.

Stuart Craft, father of the groom, and Scott Wiley, friend of the groom, were best men. Ushers were Jason Craft, brother of the groom; Derek Hill, brother of the bride; and Timmy Bigler and Joshua Hamilton, cousins of the groom.

Makayla Craft, niece of the groom, and Grace Capps, stepsister of the bride, were flower girls. Tyler Craft, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.

Doricia Benton, friend of the couple, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Justin Gardner, cousin of the bride, and Natalie Winders, friend of the couple.

A program of wedding music was provided by Michael Price of Goldsboro, pianist, and Tyron Corbett and Susan Brock, cousins of the bride.

After a wedding trip to Wrightsville Beach, the couple will reside in Pikeville.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She will attend Johnston Community College.

The groom graduated from Rosewood High School in 2004.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

On June 17, friends of the bride held a luncheon at Logan’s Steakhouse.

Family and friends held a floating wedding shower May 21 at Free Chapel fellowship hall.

On April 22, a floating wedding shower was held at the home of the groom’s mother.
