Laura Christine Lewis of Troy and Cleveland Carlisle Wilkins II of Goldsboro exchanged vows in a double ring ceremony on June 17 at 2 p.m. at Saint Luke United Methodist Church with David Harvin officiating.

The bride was given away and escorted by her father.

The bride wore a white strapless tulle sheath with shirred bodice and beaded lace appliques, a fingertip veil headpiece with crystal beads, and carried a bouquet of white roses.

The matron of honor was Nancy Bean. The bridesmaids were Amy Lewis, Stephanie Lewis and Rowena Styron. The best man was Cleveland Wilkins. The groomsmen were Tim Brewer, Frank W. Fisher, III and Charles Royal.

The register attendant was Mary Wallace. Music was provided by organist Bess Edwards-Sawyer and vocalist Stacy Johnson. Personal attendant was Angie Miller.

The bride is the daughter of Rebecca Morgan and William Ernest Lewis of Troy. She is the granddaughter of Doris Morgan and the late Wade Morgan of Candor and Inge Lewis and the late Cecil R. Lewis of Troy.

The groom is the son of the late Molly Grady Wilkins and Cleveland Carlisle Wilkins of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late Annie I. Marshburn and the late Paul Grady of Goldsboro and the late Gertrude F. and Clyde W. Wilkins of Winston Salem.

The couple will vacation in St. Lucia and will reside in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Appalachian State, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in business administration. She earned her Master’s in Business Administration Degree at Campbell University in 2004. She is employed with Johnson and Johnson in pharmaceutical sales.

The groom is a graduate of Campbell University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is employed with East Coast Realty.

The rehearsal dinner was June 16 at the home of the bride and groom, with a reception following at the Arts Council of Wayne County.

A Passion’s Party on April 8 was hosted by Kim Whitfield and Barrett Parker, friends of the bride. A bridal shower on April 29 was hosted by Rebecca Lewis, mother of the bride. Girls Night Out on June 3 was hosted by Nancy Bean, sister of the bride.

A bridal lunch on June 16 was hosted by Joy Helfrich and Janet McNairy, sisters of the groom, and Jean Capps at Koi Asian Bistro.
