Angel Marie Reeves of Mount Olive and Mason Lamar Campbell of Mount Olive exchanged vows at a double ring ceremony on May 20 at 4 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bill Rose officiating.

The bride was given away by her parents and escorted by her father.

The bride wore a formal gown of diamond white satin with a strapless neckline. The fitted bodice was accented with a draped panel adorned with an ornate floral embroidery cascading down the side of the skirt. The back bodice was closed with a corset back flowing into a semi-cathedral train that was beaded with a floral embroidery design. She chose a tiara headpiece of rhinestones and pearls extending into a two-tier veil of silk illusion. The brides bouquet consisted of silk coral pink flowers.

Her maid of honor was Barbara Ann Parrish. Bridesmaids were Deborah Ann Reeves, Maria Pennington, and Erika Jones. The best man was Mark Bunchanan. The ushers and groomsmen were Stephen Witt, Wayne Clemens, and Mustafa Springston. The flower girls were Jasmine Thigpen and Destiny Scott. The ringbearer was Dylan Campbell. The wedding director was Pam Bedford. The register attendant was Renee Whitfield. The program distributor was Michelle Scott.

Music was provided by Debbie Nichols. Other special helpers included Diane, Runt, Pearl, Snoopy, Charity, Tom, Rhonda, Gloria, Belva, and Carrie.

The bride is daughter of Marie Smith and Bobby Eugene Reeves of Dudley. She is the granddaughter of Helen Owen Reeves and the late Richard Herman Reeves of Mount Olive and Annie Mae Condon of Dudley and the late Jack Smith of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Diane and Mark Buchanan of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Pearl Gurganus and the late Willie Gurganus of Goldsboro and Betty and Jim Buchanan of Goldsboro.

The couple spent the weekend at Atlantic Beach and reside in Mount Olive.

The bride graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2004 and is currently attending Wayne County Community College in the dental field. She is employed at KinderKottage as a daycare teacher.

The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2004 and is employed with Georgia Pacific.

The rehearsal dinner was given by Annie Gurganus at her house. The reception was held at the American Legion. A bridal shower was given by Helen Reeves and Janie Maggard May 6 at Dixie Gurley’s house. A lingerie shower was given by Maria Pennington at her house on May 13. And a lingerie/bath and body shower was given by the staff of KinderKottage on May 15.
