FREMONT — Danielle Elizabeth Steward and Brandon Jennings Smith of Pikeville said their marriage vows April 8 at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Wayne Goff officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Fremont Holiness Church.

Daniel Richard and Lisa Walker Steward of Pikeville are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Ila Jean Cox Walker and Rudolph B. Walker of Pikeville, Linda B. Steward of Goldsboro and Daniel Richard Deemer of Ceder Bluff, Ala., and the stepgrandson of Bessie Deemer of Ceder Bluff, the late Dixon R. Steward and Paul D. Best of Goldsboro.

The groom is the son of Joan Smith of Pikeville and Terry Smith of Goldsboro and stepson of Glen Brogden of Pikeville. He is the grandson of the late Melonese Coley, Janice Smith-Myers and Jennings Smith of Goldsboro and the late Joseph Blizzard of Pikeville and the stepgrandson of Ellen Blizzard of Pikeville and Kenneth Myers.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white Italian satin with a strapless neckline. Silver rocaille beading detailed the mock two-piece beaded princess A-line gown.

Ashley Warren, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Brogden, sister of the groom, and Heather Wolfe, cousin of the bride.

Justin Carter was his uncle’s best man. Ushers were Chris Sittin, brother of the groom, and Chris Steward, brother of the bride. Groomsmen were Terry Smith, father of the groom, and Jennings Smith, grandfather of the groom.

Makenzie Millard was flower girl. Jesse Grice was ring bearer.

Tonya Smith directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Brittany Brookes.

Special helpers were Dawn Walker, Stacy Whittington and Donna Adams.

A program of wedding music was provided by Gary Grady.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Pikeville.

The bride is a graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She attends Wayne Community College. She is employed in customer service with Daly RV.

The groom attended Faith Christian and Charles B. Aycock High school. He is employed with National Welders.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Pikeville Community Building.

On April 7, a rehearsal dinner was held.

Friends of the bride held a wedding shower March 25.

On March 18, family of the couple held a wedding shower.
