NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Brittney Elizabeth James and Drew Albert Painter of Fayetteville exchanged promises April 8 at 11 a.m. in a double-ring beach front ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Erin James of Southern Pines. She is the granddaughter of Elizabeth Brennan of Southern Pines.

The groom is the son of Sandra Anne Wheeler of Newton Grove and Andy Franklin Nunn of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Hilda Robinson of Belmont and Charles McAllister of Goldsboro.

Given in marriage by her mother and uncle, Charles Brennan, and escorted by her uncle, the bride wore a formal gown of gold and ivory.

She chose a floral headpiece given to her by her mother. She carried a seasonal bouquet of lilies, tulips and purple irises.

Paula Brennan, aunt of the bride, was matron of honor.

Nathan Humphrey was his friend’s best man.

Jillian Pearce, cousin of the groom, was flower girl.
