Quinn - Norman
Faye Deans Norman and Louis T. Quinn pledged their wedding vows Saturday, March 18, at 2 p.m.
The Reverend Dr. Rick Cason officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Victory Free Will Baptist Church..
The bride is the daughter of Edna Deans of Goldsboro and the late Walter B. “Bud” Deans.
The groom is the son of the late Joe and Margaret Quinn of Goldsboro.
Given in marriage by her family and escorted by her brother, Walter B. “Benny” Deans Jr., the bride wore a full-length crepe, ice-blue dress and jacket. Ice blue beading accented the bodice of the dress and neckline of the jacket.
She carried a bouquet of spring flowers.
Bridesmaids were Kim Johnson, Tracy McKeel and Jackie Lewis, daughters of the bride; Ashley Johnson, granddaughter of the bride; and Lori Mitchell, daughter of groom.
Joey Quinn and Teddy Quinn were their father’s best men. Ushers were Ricky Johnson, Ken McKeel and Kemp Lewis, sons-in-law of the bride, and Don Mitchell, son-in-law of the groom. Groomsmen were Tyler Mitchell, grandson of groom, and Ralph Quinn, brother of groom.
Morgan Quinn, granddaughter of groom, was flower girl. Tanner McKeel, grandson of the bride, was ring bearer.
Shirley Deans, sister-in-law of bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Sharon Quinn and Casey Mitchell. Kaitlyn Quinn, granddaughter of groom, and Bryce McKeel, grandson of bride, distributed programs.
Special helpers were Gladys Worley, Ruby Davis and Peggy Wetherington, friends of the couple.
A program of wedding music was provided by Ralph Smith, organist, and Kim Smith and Danny Norris, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to the Gulf Coast, the couple is residing in Goldsboro.
The bride is a graduate of Goldsboro High School and Mount Olive College. She is retired as a financial manager with the federal government at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
The groom graduated from Goldsboro High School. He is retired as an engineering associate with DuPont.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Cake was served by Lottie Quinn, sister-in-law of the groom. Jennifer Reaves, niece of the groom, poured punch.
A rehearsal dinner was held in the church fellowship hall March 17.
On March 5, Jackie Lewis, Tracy McKeel, Kim Johnson and Shirley Deans held a beach and evening-out shower.
On Feb. 16, friends of the bride held a lingerie shower at the home of Anne Herring in Rosewood,
On Feb. 12, Victory Free Will Baptist Church ladies auxiliary held a linen shower in the church fellowship hall.
A dinner and dance were held at the Steak Barn.
