Hollie Yvonne King and David Ray Cannon Jr. exchanged promises Dec. 3 at 2 p.m.
Steve Holder officiated at the single-ring ceremony at Bethel Church.
The bride is the daughter of Warren William and Charlotte Harper King of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Elwood Jack Sr. and Mary Ellen Smith Harper of Deep Run and Madge Hill King and the late George Henry King of Goldsboro.
Parents of the groom are David Ray Sr. and Susan Strickland Cannon of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late George and Helen Strickland of Goldsboro and the late Raymond and Flossie Mae Cannon of Tarboro.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white strapless satin A-line gown with an asymmetrical split front with lace appliqué detail around the bodice and down the edges of the front panel. It had a chapel train.
For her headpiece, she chose a filigree-style tiara crown with rhinestones and pearls with a two-tiered fingertip veil with corded edges. She carried a clutch bouquet of red roses accented with a red sheer bow and streamers.
Christy Roby Flowers of LaGrange, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tammy Barns of Goldsboro, sister of the groom, and Jennifer Dupuis of Goldsboro, friend of the couple.
Mike Chase of Goldsboro was his friend’s best man. Ushers were Adam Cannon of Goldsboro, brother of the groom, and Jared Dupuis of Goldsboro, friend of the couple.
Victoria Ann King and Haley Rae McCullen, daughters of the bride, were flower girls. Mary Elizabeth King, daughter of the bride, was honorary flower girl.
Dana King of LaGrange directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Karen Fail. Danielle Fail distributed programs.
Special helpers were Ryan Henry King, brother, and Vickie Harper Roby and Marcia Sessoms Harper, aunts.
A program of wedding music was provided by Rich Holder, organist, and Terry Chase, Melinda Moore, Jennifer Sexton and Allen Moore, vocalists.
After a wedding trip to the Crystal Coast, the couple will reside in Princeton.
The bride is a graduate of Rosewood High School. She is a homemaker.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School. He is employed with ALT Outdoors.
Following the ceremony, the parents held a reception at Best Western.
On Nov. 20, ladies of Bethel Church held a miscellaneous shower.
