LAGRANGE — Amanda Dell Rose and Clifton Owen Waters of Winterville said their marriage vows Oct. 29 at 2 p.m.

The Rev. Jerry Mitchell and the Rev. McGee Creech officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Garris Chapel United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Dennis Craig and Pamela Wiggins Rose of LaGrange. She is the granddaughter of Dell Suggs Wiggins and the late James Thurman Wiggins of LaGrange and the late Archie Dees and Margorie Marie Rose of Goldsboro.

Parents of the groom are William Lee and Susie Grady Waters of Henderson. He is the grandson of Margaret Grady, the late Clifton Avon Grady and the late Julian Owen and Kathleen Wooten Waters of Kinston.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless ivory satin gown with hand embroidered beaded swirl and flower motifs along the hem. It had a beaded waistline with silver thread accent beads and crystals. It had a semi-cathedral train.

For her headpiece, she chose a fingertip veil with crystal beadwork and a tiara with crystals and pearls. She carried a bouquet of roses, calla lilies, red berries and stephanotis wrapped with ivory ribbon and button pearls.

Sonya Moody of Wallace and Dawn Rogers of LaGrange, sisters of the bride, were matrons of honor. Terri Sanders of Wilmington, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amy Credle and Angie Scott of Winterville, Melanie Mackwood of Kinston and Dana Sasser of Goldsboro, friends of the bride, and Mary Waters of Greensboro, sister-in-law of the groom.

Bill Waters was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Waters of Greensboro, brother of the groom; Craig Bland and Scott Tilghman of Raleigh, John Hood of Wilmington, David Howell of Newport, J.J. Huddock of Charlotte, Fleming Jeffries and Trey Martin of Kinston and Cory Scott of Winterville, friends of the groom; Shane Massey of Henderson, cousin of the groom; and Jonathan Moody of Wallace and Jackie Rogers of LaGrange, brothers-in-law of the bride.

Katlyn Moody and McKenna Moody of Wallace, nieces of the bride, were junior bridesmaids.

Abby Waters of Greensboro, niece of the groom, was the miniature bride. Carson Rogers of LaGrange, nephew of the bride, was the miniature groom.

Samantha Moody, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Drew Rogers, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

Susan Spengler of LaGrange, friend of the bride’s family, and Sandra Quinn of Kinston, friend of the groom’s family, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Ashlyn Taylor of Kinston, cousin of the bride. Jodi Massey and Callie Massey of Henderson, cousin of the groom, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Jason Cox of LaGrange, pianist and vocalist, and Jamie Cox of LaGrange, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to Negril, the couple is residing in Winterville.

The bride is a graduate of North Lenoir High School and Lenoir Community College with a cosmetology degree. She is employed as a hair stylist.

The groom graduated from North Lenoir High School and East Carolina University with a master’s degree. He is employed as an insurance agent with SIA Group.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall.

On Oct. 29, a dance was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Oct. 28 at the Steak Barn.

On Oct. 23, Amy Credle held a basket shower at her home in Winterville.

Sonya Moody, sister of the bride, held a bridal luncheon Oct. 22 at her home in Wallace.

On Oct. 2, the bride’s family held a bridal shower at Garris Church.

Cory and Angie Scott held a stock-the-bar shower Sept. 24 at their home in Winterville.

On Sept. 23, Maria Wiggins held a recipe shower at her home in LaGrange.

The groomsmen held a bachelor party Sept. 6 through 11 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Sept. 7 through 11, the bridesmaids held a bachelorette party in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

The groom’s family held a bridal shower Aug. 28 at Webb Chapel Church.

ON Aug. 27, the groom’s parents held a dance and cookout at Falling Creek Country Club.

Cory and Angie Scott held a Christmas shower at their home in December.

An engagement party was held in Greenville.
