Garner - Jordan
FAISON — Kasey Marie Jordan and James Darren Garner were united in holy matrimony Oct. 8 at 4 p.m.
The Rev. Chad Pullins officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Faison United Methodist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Layton Jordan of Faison are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Williamson of Mount Olive and Sudie Jordan and the late James D. Jordan of Faison.
Mr. and Mrs. Deryl Garner of Mount Olive are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Frances Coker, Lousetta Coker, the late Melvin H. Coker and Donny Garner of Mount Olive and Ethel Garner of Goldsboro.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father and grandfather.
Ronda Layton Jordan of Faison, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shannon Leann Garner of Mount Olive, Leslie Lynn Hollingsworth of Raleigh and Edith Nicole Sessoms of Wilmington.
Deryl Garner was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Melvin Wayne Coker of Dudley, Timothy Shawn Daniels of Faison and Randy Scott Coker of Dudley.
Brianna Williamson, cousin of the bride, was the miniature bride. Nicholas King, cousin of the bride, was the miniature groom.
Marimar Ortiz, friend of the couple, was flower girl.
Christen Davis Cherry of Calypso, friend of the couple, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Jodie Williamson and Sarah Potter, cousins of the bride.
Special helpers were Kim Williamson, aunt of the bride; Shannon Williamson of Mount Olive, cousin of the bride; and Sharon Beasley of Warsaw, aunt of the groom.
A program of wedding music was provided by Susan Dempsey of Wallace, pianist, and Ricky Leon Coker of Dudley.
After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Mount Olive.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of North Duplin High School. She attends Wayne Community College for a human services degree. She is employed with Southco.
The groom graduated from James Kenan High School in 2000. He is employed with Cooper Standard Automotive.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at the church.
On Oct. 7, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal cookout at Faison Church.
Ronda Jordan, Shannon Garner, Leslie Hollingsworth and Nikki Sessoms held a bridal shower Sept. 17 at Faison Church.
