MOUNT OLIVE — Paige Elizabeth Vickory and Jonathan Patrick Keith Barwick were united in holy matrimony Nov. 5 at 6 p.m.

The Rev. Dennis M. Goodwin and the Rev. Donald E. Fader, uncle of the groom, officiated at the double-ring ceremony at First United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Branson Vickory III of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of James E. Marr of Goldsboro, Alice Denson Vickory of Mount Olive, the late Jean Kluttz Marr, the late Jimmie Harold Morelock and the late Charles Branson Vickory Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kent Pate of Mount Olive and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Patrick Barwick of Seven Springs are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Keith Outlaw and Damon Patrick Barwick of Seven Springs and the late Doris Williams Barwick.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of ivory satin with a strapless neckline. The fitted bodice was embellished with a pleated band at the neckline and a row of iridescent beads at the waistline. The skirt had boxed pleats and flowed into a chapel-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a chapel-length heirloom mantilla of imported illusion bordered with re-embroidered Alencon lace embellished with seed pearls and iridescents worn by friend Susan Smith Bundy. She carried a bouquet of red roses accented with eucalyptus wrapped in a handkerchief worn as a bonnet when she was christened.

Mary Carmen Vickory of Pensacola, Fla., cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Whaley Anderson of Faison, Skyler Allen Hardy of LaGrange and Amanda Lynn Harrison of Snow Hill, friends of the bride; Alexis Barwick Harvell of Seven Springs, sister of the groom; and Marian Grace Johnson of Charlotte, Natalie Ruth Parvin of Jamestown and Sara Rodgers White of New York City, sorority sisters of the bride.

Danny Patrick Barwick was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Jason Adam Britt of Seven Springs, Brenton David Hood of Faison, Thomas Franklin Kilpatrick III of Wilmington, Joshua Franklin Price of Goldsboro, John Ashley Whitfield and Jeremy Steven Williams of Mount Olive, friends of the groom; and James Branson Vickory of Mount Olive, brother of the bride. Ushers were Michael Brandon Surles of Cary and Benjamin Ray Whetsell of Mount Olive, friends of the groom.

Hill Donald Vickory of Pensacola, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

Emily Graves Cook of Helena, Alaska, and Anna Brooke Nisbet of Charlottesville, Va., sorority sisters of the bride, were Scripture readers.

Dean Barwick of Seven Springs, family friend of the groom, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Jay Faison Joyner III and Kristina Lynn Kelley of Mount Olive, friends of the couple. Mr. and Mrs. Corey Patrick Fader of Kinston, cousins of the groom, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Wade Steele Sasser Jr. of Mount Olive, organist; Amanda Whaley Anderson, vocalist; Tasi Johns Matthews of Apex and Pamela Bath Kelly of Dunn, violinists; and Barbara Allison Prillaman of Cary, cousin of the bride, cellist.

After a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamiaca, the couple will reside in Mount Olive.

The bride is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and was presented at the 2001 debutante ball. She is employed with Eastern Aluminum Supply Inc.

The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School and Mount Olive College with honors with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in management and organizational development. He is employed with Georgia Pacific Inc.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Goldsboro Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. Barton Whitfield Baldwin of Mount Olive, family friends of the bride, greeted guests.

On Nov. 5, a wedding brunch was held at Southern Belle Restaurant.

An after-rehearsal party was held Nov. 4 at Southern Wayne County Club.

The groom and his family held a rehearsal dinner Nov. 4 at Southern Wayne Country Club. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.

On Nov. 4, Selena Bennett, Shelby Benton, Jennifer Parker and Margaret Ann Parvin held a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Goldsboro Country Club. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants.

Amanda Harrison, Phyllis Kirby and Peggy Warrick, coworkers of the bride, held a shower Sept. 29 at Eastern Aluminum Supply.

On Sept. 18, coworkers of the bride’s father held a home and garden shower at the home of Ed and Jan Kroboth.

Sara Arnette, Letha Outlaw, Pam Pate and Violet Saviak, family and friends of the groom, held a miscellaneous shower Sept. 11 at First Baptist Church of Mount Olive.
