BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Tanya Engram of Brooklyn became the bride of Kendrick Darrell Edwards of Brooklyn Sept. 29 at 4 p.m.

The Rev. Herbert Daughtry officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the House of the Lord Church.

James Holloman and Almeta Edwards Holloman of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Hattie Forbes of Goldsboro and the late Issac Edwards of Richmond, Va.

Anita Louise Engram Wilds of Norfolk, Va., and Vincent Wilds of Brooklyn are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Dorothy Hodges of Norfolk.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white satin A-line gown.

For her headpiece, she chose a double diamond headband with pink and white roses.

Shamiek Engram was maid of honor.

Gregory Alford was best man.

Special helpers were Darrell Kenya Edwards and Kendrick Darrell Edwards Jr., children of the couple.

After a wedding trip to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the couple is residing in Brooklyn.

The bride is employed as a school administrative assistant with the New York City Board of Education.

The groom is employed as a service technician with Idesco Corp.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at New York City’s Borough Hall Rotunda.
