Ward - Ipock
TODD — Ginnie Keri Ipock of Asheville became the bride of Michael John Ward of Asheville Aug. 20 at 11 a.m.
The Rev. Bob Snead officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Todd Community Park.
Carroll G. II and Patricia Wright Ipock of New Bern are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Frederick and Bess Baldridge Wright of Kettering, Ohio, and Carroll G. Sr. and Louise Harriett Ipock of New Bern.
The Rev. Richard L. and the Rev. Shirley Acker Ward of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the son of the late Elmer Martin and Emma Lee Acker, Beatrice Booten Ward of Goldsboro and the late Richard H. Ward.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a two-piece crocheted white dress.
She carried a nosegay of wildflowers.
Karen Ipock, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Telly Ipock, sister-in-law of the bride, was the bridesmaid.
Mark Acker Ward was his brother’s best man. Simon Graves was the usher. Jared Bush was the groomsman.
A program of wedding music was provided by Heidi Lane, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Florida, the couple is residing in Asheville.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of New Bern High School and a 2003 graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology of New York. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is employed as a sales associate with Belk.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock in 1998 and Appalachian State University in 2003. He is employed as a program consultant with Stone Mountain School.
Following the ceremony the bride’s parents held a barbecue luncheon reception at Todd’s General Store.
On Sept. 25, Brogden United Methodist Church will hold a luncheon and miscellaneous shower.
Saulston United Methodist Church held a supper and miscellaneous shower Aug. 14.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at the Peddler Steakhouse of Boone.
