Cecilia Jean Williams and Daniel Stewart Anderson pledged their wedding vows Aug. 27 at 4 p.m.

The Rev. Jason Sherman officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Black Jack Grove Free Will Baptist Church.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Williams Jr. of Indian Springs. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Williams, Linda Howell and the late Wayne Howell.

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Anderson of Goldsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Keith Kornegay of Grantham are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Anderson, Pearl Langston and the late Sim Langston.

Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin with a strapless neckline. The fitted bodice was embroidered and adorned with bugle beads that cascaded down the front and back. The back bodice was accented with satin-covered bridal buttons and flowed into a chapel train.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara accented with rhinestones that extended into a veil of silk illusion.

Ashley High of Mount Olive, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristin Marcin of Mount Olive, friend of the bride; Donnarie Mills of Wilmington and Dana Sauls of Pikeville, cousins of the bride; and Jennifer Merritt of Grantham, cousin of the groom.

Glenn Anderson was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Jeremy Anderson of Grantham, brother of the groom; Jonathan Womble and Jeremiah Womble of Goldsboro, friends of the groom; and Keith Kornegay of Grantham, stepfather of the groom.

Brittany Jones of Pikeville, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Sharon Dilley directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Stafford, uncle and aunt of the bride. Jessie Sauls, cousin of the groom, distributed programs.

Special helpers were Carla Stafford, Emily Malpass, Qwen Bishop and Vince Bova.

A program of wedding music was provided by Steele Sasser, pianist.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Grantham.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Southern Wayne High School and a 2004 graduate of Wayne Community College. She is a member of Indian Springs Fire Department. She is employed at Waylin Animal Clinic.

The groom graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2000. He is a member of Grantham Fire Department. He is employed with National Welders.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall. Joyce Sauls and Carolyn Barns, aunts of the groom, served the wedding cake. Aaronia Grady and Wendy Womble, friends of the couple, poured punch.

On Aug. 25, the groom’s family held a rehearsal dinner at the Steak Barn.

The bride’s aunts and cousin held a bridal luncheon Aug. 20 at Lydia Linens and Tea Room.

On Aug. 19, a lingerie shower was held at the home of the groom’s mother.

The maid of honor and bridesmaids held a weekend at the beach July 29.

The groom’s family and friends held a bridal shower July 16 at Mount Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
