WILMINGTON — Stacey Marie Kornegay and Jesse Earl Kelley said their marriage vows July 9 at 4 p.m.

The Rev. Kenny Chinn officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Northside Baptist Church.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Roger C. Kornegay of Grantham. She is the granddaughter of Frances S. Jackson, the late George Bryan Stevens, the late Mr. and Mrs. Milford and Ruth Kornegay of Grantham.

Parents of the groom are James A. Kelley of Madison and Bonita G. Kelley of Eden. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Gauldin, Lucille Kelley and the late Martin Kelley of Eden.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.

Sarah D. Kornegay of Grantham, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Myra S. Manning of Fuquay-Varina, Jennifer F. Lloyd of Wilmington and Katie E. Stevens of Grantham.

James A. Kelley was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mark J. Howell of Wilmington, Michaux DeMichael-Kelley of Cary and Ryan Scott of Eden.

Theresa K. Pittman of Wilson, directed the wedding, assisted by her husband, James D. Pittman. Presiding at the register was Jackie Dixon of Baltimore, Md.

Cody Daniel Stevens and William Bryan Smith of Grantham were acolytes.

After a wedding trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia and North Carolina, the couple is residing in Wilmington.

The bride attends Cape Fear Community College’s interior design program for an associate’s of applied sciences degree. She is employed with Tribute Properties Inc. of Wilmington as an assistant community director.

The groom is employed with the Home Depot of Wilmington as a receiving associate and with UPS of Wilmington as a loading associate.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception in the church fellowship hall.

On July 8, the groom’s family held a rehearsal dinner in the church fellowship hall.

Jennifer F. Lloyd, friend of the bride, and Sarah D. Kornegay, sister of the bride, held a bridal shower in July in Wilmington.

June bridal showers were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Gauldin Jr. of Eden, the Salvation Army Church of Reidsville and Falling Creek United Methodist Church of Grantham.

Cindy Stevens and Margaret Staley, aunts of the bride, held a bridesmaids’ luncheon June 5 at the Stevens home.
