COATS — Jeanell Ellen Owen of Smithfield and David Alan Page of Angier said their marriage vows Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m.

Pastor Jesse Mooney officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Coats Baptist Church.

Parents of the bride are Jasper J. and Clara J. Owen of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late John Allen Hall and Lula Ellis Hall of Clinton and the late William Forest and Ethelyne Cooper Owen of Roseboro.

David Franklin and Patricia Hester Page of Dunn are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Robert and Maddie Ray Hester of Erwin and the late Arthur Franklin and Lettie Stephenson Page of Dunn.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a long-sleeved, A-line gown with a V-neckline. The sheer lace sleeves and dress were embellished with Alencon lace, pearls and sequins. The chapel-length train featured a tulip back accented with rosettes and was worn bustled.

For her headpiece, she chose a double-layered veil embellished with pearls and sequins. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of red roses and pink tulips.

Angela B. Jones and Rose B. Wilson were matrons of honor.

Brad Marshall was best man. Ushers were Dana Guin and Warren Gary. Lester Knight was the groomsman.

Lisa Marshall directed the wedding. Presiding at the register were Donna Guin and Amy Gary. Dalton Guin, Liam Guin, Anna Gary and Leah Page distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Debbie Turlington, pianist, and Terry Wilson, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to Emerald Isle, the couple is residing in Angier.

The bride is a 1983 graduate of Southern Wayne High Schoo, a 1986 graduate of Wayne Community College’s licensed practical nursing program and a 1997 graduate of Johnston Community College’s ADN program. She is employed as a rehabilitation nursing supervisor at WakeMed of Raleigh.

The groom graduated from Erwin High School in 1981. He served in the U.S. Naval Submarine Force. He is employed as a senior patrol officer with the city of Raleigh’s Police Department.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Matthew Wilson, Travis Wilson, Casey Jackson, Christian Willis and Cameron Willis distributed favors.

A rehearsal dinner was held May 20 at Coats Baptist Church fellowship hall.

On May 18, the WakeMed Rehabilitation Hospital nursing staff held a shower.

The rehabilitation nursing management team held a shower May 4 at WakeMed.

On April 16, friends and relatives of the bride held a shower at Coats Baptist Church.
