HALIFAX, Novia Scotia — Suzanne Daniels and Dr. Eric Julien Versnick of Halifax pledged their wedding vows April 2 at 4 p.m.

The Rev. Kevin Johnson officiated at the double-ring ceremony at King’s College Chapel.

Carlton and Barbara Daniels of Goldsboro are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Carlton and Helen Daniels of Goldsboro and the late Doris Dodson and James and Connie Dodson of Maryland.

Julien and Albertina Versnick of Tillsonburg, Ontario, are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Emiel and Valerie Temmerman of Stekene, Belgium and Alfons and Elisa Versnick of Brugge, Belgium.

Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin mock two-piece strapless gown with embroidery and beading on the bodice, along the Basque waist and on the A-line skirt.

For her headpiece, she chose a two-piece waist-length veil with a pencil edge. She carried a bouquet of white and pink roses and pink peonies.

Jennifer Modica, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Caroline Abbondanza, sister of the bride, and Julie Smith, friend of the bride.

Dr. Robert Vandorpe was his friend’s best man. Groomsmen were Albert Versnick, brother of the groom, and Stephen Gergich and Dr. William Woodard, friends of the groom. Ushers were Eugene Smith, friend of the bride, and Matthew Acker, friend of the groom.

Kaleigh Graham, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Claudia Whitehead directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jaime West, cousin of the bride.

A program of wedding music was provided by Dr. Walter Kemp, organist, and Ty Martin and Courtney Paulsen, vocalists.

After a wedding trip to the French West Indies, the couple is residing in Halifax.

The bride is a graduate of Johnson Community College with an associate degree in radiologic sciences and Edgecombe Community College with a diploma in computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. She attends Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences for a bachelor’s degree in radiologic sciences.

The groom graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in doctor of medicine, Dalhousie University with a post-graduate residency in diagnostic radiology, Duke University Medical Center with fellowship training in neuroradiology and Stanford University Medical Center with fellowship training in interventional neuroradiology. He is employed as an attending physician and neurointerventionalist with QEII Health Sciences Center of Halifax.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the compass room of Casino Nova Scotia Hotel.

On April 1, a rehearsal dinner was held at Swiss Chalet Restaurant of Halifax.

An engagement party was held Feb. 8 at the home of Ty Martin and Courtney Paulsen of Boston, Mass.
