Milliken - Daniels
Amanda Raye Daniels of Wilmington and Michael Carroll Milliken Jr. were married April 23 at 3 p.m.
Pastor Billy Olsen officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Pine Forest United Methodist Church.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Danny R. Daniels of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Jean Becton and the late Harrison Becton of Goldsboro and Charles Williams and the late Dorothy Williams of Pikeville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Finch and Michael Milliken of Wilmington. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Miller of Wilmington and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Milliken of Winnabow.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Carla Hayes, friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Erica McCormick, friend of the bride, and Karen Daniels, cousin of the bride.
Rodney Miller was his nephew’s best man. Groomsmen were Andy Parker, cousin of the groom, and Tyler Daniels, brother of the bride.
Brittany Porter, niece of the groom, was flower girl.
Wanda Becton, aunt of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Nicklas Becton, cousin of the bride. Marcus Miller, uncle of the groom, distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Thomas Casey, pianist, and Wanda Becton, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Wilmington.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a bachelor of arts degree in business and marketing. She is employed as manager of Martin Self-Storage.
The groom graduated from New Hanover High School in 1994. He is employed as a painter with New Age.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church. Gail Daniels, aunt of the bride, and Wanda Winders, friend of the bride’s family, cut the wedding cake. Elizabeth Becton, aunt of the bride, and Wendy Porter, sister of the groom, poured punch.
A rehearsal dinner was held April 22 at Pine Forest Church. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
On April 21, Carla Hayes held a lingerie shower at Logan’s.
Alyx Quincey, friend of the bride, held a celebration dinner April 18 at Elijah’s Restaurant of Wilmington.
On April 9, a bachelorette party was held in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Wanda and Elizabeth Becton held a bridal shower Feb. 13 at the home of Wanda Becton.
