Boyd - Wuntke
Sarah Elizabeth Wuntke of Greenville and Christopher Michael Boyd of Greenville exchanged promises Feb. 26 at 2 p.m.
Pastor Jack Sauls and Dr. Danny Robertson officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.
Parents of the bride are Lt. Col. Mark H. and Dana G. Wuntke of Lorton, Va. She is the granddaughter of the late Cmdr. Edward Gibson Jr. and Mary Virginia Gibson of Goldsboro and the late Rev. Henry and Faith Wuntke of Danville, Va.
Parents of the groom are Billy and Vickie Boyd of Bath. He is the grandson of Hugh Norton and Audrey Boyd of Pinetown and the late Dalton Woolard and Mary Francis Woolard of Bath.
Given in marriage and escorted by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless A-line gown with flowers and pearls embroidered into the bodice with a princess neckline.
For her headpiece, she chose a headband with pearls and crystals and a white two-tiered veil with pearls. She carried Virginia roses.
Melissa Valley was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Shearer, Becky Lewis and Brandi Benton.
Billy Boyd was best man. Groomsmen were Craig Boyd, Justus Robertson and Nate Sealey.
Katie Michaels directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Jazmin Wuntke.
A program of wedding music was provided by Dolores Morgan, pianist, and Maria Sealey, vocalist.
After a wedding trip to Nashville, Tenn., the couple is residing in Greenville.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 2004 magna cum laude graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Hispanic studies and a minor in English. She is employed as a bookkeeper and interpreter with H&R Block.
The groom graduated from Northside High School in Pinetown in 1998. He attended Pitt Community College. He is employed as a computer consultant.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.
On Feb. 23, Katie Michaels and Alma Jones held a shower at H&R Block of Greenville.
Lauren Colbert and Holly Sloan held a shower Feb. 12 at their home in Greenville.
On Feb. 5, Melissa Valley held a shower at Trinity Baptist Church.
The groom’s parents, aunts and friends of the family held a shower Jan. 31 at Hunter’s Bridge Church of Christ of Bath.
The groom’s family held a rehearsal dinner at Fletcher’s.
