Lajueness-Taylor
Samantha Jean Taylor and Anthony Scott Lajueness of Goldsboro were united in holy matrimony March 12 at 3 p.m.
Rick Mondell officiated at the double-ring ceremony at New Life Baptist Church.
Parents of the bride are Columbus Jr. and Cheryl Taylor of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Jean Mitchell and the late Billy Mitchell of Goldsboro and the late Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Taylor of Columbia
Parents of the groom are George and Peggy Lajueness of Spokane, Wash. He is the grandson of the late Bruce and Bertha Moore of Walstonburg and the late Ray and Martha Lajueness of Grand Rapids, Mich.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory halter top gown with a sequined tulle skirt and a satin bodice.
For her headpiece, she chose a two-tiered veil with a tiara. She carried a bouquet of ivory and pink roses.
Shannon Daughtry was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Mitchell, Shelly Willis, Sherrie Coley and Tiffany Rhodes.
Ray Amerson was best man. Groomsmen were Jonathon Mitchell, Ryan Taylor, Marc Hudson and Rickey Thompson.
Avery Taylor was flower girl.
Beth Daniels directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Nikki Barbour. Jennifer Boldt distributed programs.
A program of wedding music was provided by Anita Poland, pianist; Tara Boyette, vocalist; and Drew Hinnant, trumpeter.
After a wedding cruise to the western Caribbean, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.
The bride is a 2003 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School. She is employed as assistant manager of McDonalds.
The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 1999. He is employed as assistant manager of R&R Body Shop.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held.
On March 5, Sherrie Coley and Ebony Stewart held a bachelorette party at the home of the bride.
Shannon Daughtry held a lingerie shower Feb. 13.
On Nov. 20, Terri Mitchell held a bridal shower.
Beth Daniels and Jean Mitchell held an engagement party Oct. 31.
