Allison Rae Johnson of Fairfax, Va., and Scott Angus Frisbie of Fairfax were united in holy matrimony March 5 at 4:30 p.m.

Bill Gardner officiated at the double-ring ceremony at New Hope Friends.

Parents of the bride are David Mark and Annette P. Johnson of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Ruth Toler Brown of Smithfield, the late Reginald and Gladys Johnson of Snow Hill and the late Harris C. Toler.

Parents of the groom are Douglas Lee and Sammie Blakeley Frisbie of Deer Park, Wash. He is the grandson of Robbie Blakeley of Roseberg, Ore., the late Fred and Edith Frisbie of Eugene, Ore., the late Gordon Blakeley and the late Merle and Mildred Donnelly.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of Italian satin. The neck and waist were adorned with jeweled-like beading net with capped sleeves decorated with crystals and beads. The fitted bodice had embroidery. The skirt box was pleated. It had a semi-cathedral train trimmed with faux buttons.

For her headpiece, she chose a rhinestone tiara with a double-tiered fingertip-length veil with crystal edging. She carried a bouquet of hand-tied pink tulips.

Erin L. Johnson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Gurpreet Kaur and Lagina Flowers, friends of the bride.

Beau Brown was his friend’s best man. Ushers were Douglas Frisbie, father of the groom, and John Neeley, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Tim Frisbie, brother of the groom, and Cecil Trail, nephew of the groom.

Pat Callahan directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Marisa Olden. Russell Olden distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Dr. Jeff Trail, pianist, and Mackenzie Trail, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to Key, Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico, and Grand Cayman Island, the couple will reside in Fairfax.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a graduate of East Carolina University with a bachelor of science degree in biology. She attends Mary-mount University of Ar-lington, Va. She is a member of Epsilom Sigma Alpha.

The groom graduated from Kent-Meridian High School in 1987 and Abilene Christian University in 1994 with a bachelor of science degree in education. He is employed as a managing partner with Tri-State Gunnite.

Following the ceremony, a cocktail dinner dance reception was held at Walnut Creek Country Club.

On Feb. 12, the bride’s parents held a pig picking.

Pat Callahan held a bridal shower Feb. 12.

On Dec. 17, classmates at Marymount University held a bridal shower.

A day at a local spa and a luncheon were held.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Torero’s Restaurant.
