Heather Michelle Harper became the bride of Brian Michael Kaufman of Goldsboro Feb. 5 at 4 p.m.

Bishop Gary Corbett officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Holiday Inn.

The bride is the daughter of the late Ronnie Edward Grant and Teresa Grant West of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph Grant and Phyllis Grant of Goldsboro and the late Edward Harper and Helen Williamson of Mount Olive.

The groom is the son of Glenn Carl and Cheryl Lynn Kaufman of Pennsdale, Pa. He is the grandson of the late Carl Kaufman and June Kaufman of Watsontown, Pa., and the late Al and Jean Kahler of Montourville, Pa.

Given in marriage and escorted by her mother, the bride wore a halter-style white dress of satin with beading and pearls down the front and train.

For her headpiece, she chose a rhinestone and pearl tiara with a veil adorned with pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses with a splash of miniature lavender roses.

Heidi Berard, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were April Harper, sister of the bride, and Emily Fitzmaurice and Christie Lehman, friends of the bride.

Kris Kaufman was his brother’s best man. Ushers were Joseph Harper, Ben Harper and Tyler Gurley, brothers of the bride. Groomsmen were Frank James, Garret Barnes and Carlos Soza Pineda.

Jamie Jackson was flower girl. Gabe Kaufman and Johnathon Berard were ring bearers.

Amy Lancaster, friend of the bride, directed the wedding. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Phyllis Hair, cousin of the bride.

Special helpers were Heather Woodard, Crystal Kontz, Nancy Deraleau, Sophia Moore and Joey Lancaster.

A program of wedding music was provided by Vivian Sewell, cousin of the bride, vocalist, and Glenn Kaufman, father of the groom.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Rosewood High School and a 2005 graduate of Wayne Community College with a degree in information systems. She is employed as a bartender at Logans Roadhouse.

The groom graduated from Muncy High School of Pennsylvania in 1996. He is serving in the Air Force as a power production technician.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Holiday Inn.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner Feb. 4 at Boondoggles.

On Jan. 15, Emily Fitzmaurice and Diane Lynch held a wedding and lingerie shower.
