RALEIGH — Lisa Annette Squires of Garner became the bride of Michael David Kimbro of Garner Dec. 4 at 4 p.m.

Ralph Holyfield officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Southern Grace Chapel.

Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Squires Sr. of Seven Springs are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Margaret C. Poole of Raleigh, Ruby M. Squires of Apex, the late Leroy Poole and the late Harvey M. Squires.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Kimbro of Newport are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Alberta O. Holmes of Wake Forest, Wilma K. Kimbro of Burlington, the late Richard Holmes and the late Wilson Kimbro.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory dress with glass bead sequins and seed pearls accented with embroidery of satin organza with a detachable carriage chapel train.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara band accented with iridescent seed pearls with an ivory fingertip veil with satin edging. She carried a cascading bouquet of miniature calla lilies, white roses and ivy.

Kimberly Prince of Fuquay-Varina, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Nicole Crane-Squires of Newport, sister-in-law of the bride, and Chrissy Kimbro of Morehead City, sister-in-law of the groom.

Wesley Kimbro was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Phillip Kimbro of Morehead City and Neil Kimbro of Newport, brothers of the groom.

Faith Kimbro of Morehead City, niece of the groom, was flower girl.

Sam Weaver of Raleigh directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Jennifer Prince, niece of the bride. Allison Prince of Fuquay-Varina, niece of the bride, and Annabel Morris of Morehead City distributed programs.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple is residing in Garner.

The bride is a graduate of West Carteret High School of Morehead City. She is employed in administration with Medical Review of North Carolina of Cary.

The groom graduated from Walter M. Williams High School of Burlington. He is employed as a land advisor with RBC Center of Raleigh.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church Magnolia room. Jeannie Leipzig of Kalamazoo, Mich., cousin of the bride, poured punch. Janie Truelove of Benson, cousin of the bride, served the wedding cake.

A rehearsal diner was held Dec. 3 at Southern Grace Chapel.

On Nov. 6, the bride’s sister held a wedding shower at Piney Grove Baptist Church of Fuquay-Varina.
