Miranda Rhea Ginn of Goldsboro became the bride of Jeremy Scott Rackley Oct. 2 at 5 p.m.

Pastor Rick Ward officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Saulston United Methodist Church.

Donald Garland and Pamela Carey Ginn of Pikeville are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Garland Jackson and Iris Tingen Ginn and Benjamin T. and Doris Rebecca Carey of Pikeville.

Robert Bennett and Vicky H. Rackley and the late Kaye Harrison Rackley of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of the late Monroe Bennett and Maggie Sykes Rackley, the late Harry Lee Harrison and Martha Turnage Harrison of Goldsboro.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin A-line gown of candlelight with a champagne cuffed bodice and hem with a lace up back.

For her headpiece, she chose an elbow-length two-tiered veil bordered with champagne satin. She carried a bouquet of red roses.

Elizabeth Hampton, friend, was matron of honor. Carey Ginn, sister, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Regan Roberts, cousin of the bride, and Jessica Pittman, Brooke Thompson and Julie Weitzel, friends of the bride.

Robert B. Rackley was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Stacey Rackley, brother of the groom; Jason Lewis, friend of the groom; Paul Mooring and Steven Mooring, cousins of the groom; and Kenneth Harrison, uncle of the groom.

Honorary bridesmaids were Kim Boullion, Stephanie Gamon, Erin Legrand, Amy Smith and Melanie Smith.

Peyton Herring, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Jacob Smith, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

Rebecca Carey Hol-lingsworth directed the wedding. Presiding at the register was Holly Lewis, friend of the couple. Melissa Rackley, sister-in-law of the groom, and Shannon Weeks, friend of the bride, distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Camille Frederick, pi-anist, and Jill Suggs Howell, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 1994 graduate of Eastern Wayne High School and a 1998 graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in business administration and marketing. She is employed as a sales consultant with Holt Equipment Co.

The groom graduated from Charles B. Aycock High School in 1994 and Barton College in 1998 with a degree in finance. He is employed as a field adjuster with North Carolina Farm Bureau.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a dance reception at Lane Tree Golf Club. Andy and Melinda Steed greeted guests.

On Oct. 1, a bridesmaids’ luncheon was held at Billie’s on the Green. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants.

Beth Hampton and Carey Ginn held a pig picking Sept. 18 at the home of the couple.

A bachelor party was held Sept. 11.

Sept. 10 through 12, a bachelorette weekend was held in Wilmington.

Lemuel and Gwen Bartlett and Glenn and Elaine Mason held a cookout party Aug. 28 at the Bartlett home.

On Aug. 22, friends and family held a miscellaneous shower at Saulston United Methodist Church.

Friends and family held a miscellaneous shower June 12 at Antioch Free Will Baptist Church.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner in the fellowship hall. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.
