Wiggs - Cisneros
QUITO, Ecuador — Veronica Alexandra Cisneros and Stephen Robert Wiggs said their promises June 12 at 4 p.m.
Rogelio Lainez officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Salon del Reino de los Testigos de Jehova.
The bride is the daughter of Carlos Cisneros Zuniga and Cecilia Arellano Leon de Cisneros of Quito. She is the granddaughter of Carlos Alberto Cisneros Falconi and Laura Ziniga Vela de Cisneros of Quito, the late Leonidas Arellano Jarrin and the late Lucy Leon Borja de Arellano.
Charles Edward and Becky Howe Wiggs of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Arnold L. Howe and Thelma T. Howe of Goldsboro and the late Jessie C. and Elise J. Wiggs.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a ballgown of ivory peau satin with a cathedral train. The fitted dropped V waist bodice of ivory satin was embellished with Italian lace with cap sleeves, a sweetheart neckline and satin buttons down the back.
For her headpiece, she chose a cascade fingertip veil of ivory silk illusion with a satin edging attached to a rhinestone tiara. She carried lirios flowers and baby’s breath.
Vanessa Cisneros, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Paula Leon, cousin of the bride; Beth Solanki of Peoria, Ill., sister of the groom; and Carla Herrera, Sandra Saurez and Romina Solano.
Charles Wiggs was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Esteban Leon, cousin of the bride; Jimmy Solanki of Peoria, brother-in-law of the groom; and Victor Villota, Danilo Estrella, Salvaatore Reina and Danny Caicedo.
Andrea Proano was flower girl. Andrei Saavedra was ring bearer.
Carlos Saavedra directed the ceremony.
A program of wedding music was provided by Vallenato Music Band of Columbia, South America.
After a wedding trip to Ibarra City, Ecuador, the couple is residing in Quito. They will reside in Wayne County in the fall.
The bride is a graduate of America’s High School and Universidad Catolica. She is employed as a customer service agent with DHL Worldwide Express of Quito.
The groom graduated from Rosewood High School and American School in 1998. He is employed as a windshield repair technician with Classic Vinyl Repairs.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents held a reception at Four Points Sheraton Hotel of Quito.
A reception will be held in the fall.
The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 11 at Peter’s Restaurant of Quito. The couple chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
On June 10, the bride’s family held a celebration dinner at Tony Roma’s of Quito following a civil marriage ceremony.
The groom’s family held a party May 23.
On May 20, a bridal shower was held at the home of the bride’s grandmother in Quito.
The bride’s parents held an engagement dinner Nov. 22 at their home.
