Karolee Jones of Albertson and Donald Fredrick Myers pledged their promises Saturday, June 19 at 6 p.m.

Pastor Jerry Mitchell officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Garris Chapel United Methodist Church.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Skeet Jones of Albertson. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathel Jones of Albertson, Pearl Lynn of Mount Olive and the late Ray Garner.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. David Myers of Hollywood, Md. He is the grandson of Melvin Myers of Sedley, Va., the late June Myers, Valerie Pickert of Aurora, Ill., and the late Donald Myers.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of Venise lace. The white strapless A-line embroidered tulle gown had accented sparkling beads, a three-dimensional floral bodice and a skirt. The fitted bodice was embellished with Venise lace adorned with seed pearls, iridescent beads and sequins. The back bodice had a corset lace with a satin strap and satin bridal buttons that cascaded into a chapel-length train enhanced with scalloped lace embroidered with seed pearls and sequins.

For her headpiece, she chose a silver tiara accented with rhinestones that matched her necklace and an elbow-length veil of illusion enhanced with pearls, sequins and a satin trim. She also wore accented diamond earrings given to her by the groom. She carried a semi-cascading bouquet of stargazer lilies, Virginia roses and delphinium accented with Italian ruscus.

Vonda Grady of Warsaw, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Terri Miller of Albertson and Tammy Register of Chinquapin, sisters of the bride; Cristine Myers of Hollywood, sister of the groom; and Crystal Batchelor of Mount olive, Melissa Kennedy of Pink Hill and Blaire Turner of Wilson, friends of the bride.

Michael Myers of Burlington was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Erik Craig of Faison, Robert Jolly and Mike Trotta of Arlington, Va., Doug Neely of Springfield, Va., and Steve Voltaire of Goldsboro, friends of the groom, and Robert Taylor of Faison, friend of the bride. Ushers were Jacob miller of Albertson and Blake Register and Jimmy Ray Register of Chinquapin, nephews of the bride.

Victoria Britt of Girard, Pa., and Nikki Miller of Albertson, nieces of the bride, were junior bridesmaids.

Sarah Craig and Amanda Craig of Faison, friends of the couple, were flower girls.

Susan Spengler of LaGrange, friend of the couple, directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Hollie Martin of Mount Olive and Penny Barefoot of Faison, friends of the couple.

A program of wedding music was provided by Benny Blackburn and Jamie Cox, vocalists; Jason Cox, pianist, guitarist and vocalist; Cindy Grant, trumpeter; and Andy Rockefeller, sound technician.

The couple took a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii.

Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner and dance were held at Walnut Creek Country Club.

On June 18, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Walnut Creek Country Club. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.

Co-workers at Carolina Turkeys held a miscellaneous shower June 10 at Carolina Turkeys.

On June 5, friends of the bride held a bridal luncheon at Duplin Winery. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants.

Friends of the bride held a bachelorette dinner June 5 at Schooner or Later.

On June 5, friends of the bride held a party in Wilmington.

Friends of the groom held a bachelor party June 5 in Raleigh.

On June 3, sisters of the bride held a lingerie shower at the Country Squire.

Co-workers at Southeastern Laboratories Inc., held a miscellaneous shower and luncheon May 27 at the office.

On May 26, the quality assurance department and Crystal Batchelor held a surprise luncheon at Carolina Turkeys.

The New Life Sunday school class held a miscellaneous shower May 16 at Garris Chapel United Methodist Church.

On May 15, the Grady family and family of the bride held a luau in Surf City.

The bride’s mother and sisters held a miscellaneous shower May 2 at the home of Terri Miller.
