MOUNT OLIVE — Billie Jo Loftin and William George Coltren were wed June 5 at 3 p.m.

Pastor Steve Singleton officiated at the ceremony at Cricket Ridge Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.

Charles and Chellie Loftin and the late Joyce G. Loftin of Mount Olive are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Loftin of Mount Olive and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Garris of Virginia.

Parents of the groom are the late Mr. and Mrs. George Coltren of Mount Olive. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Evanda Hare and the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Coltren of Mount Olive.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white satin with a V-neckline accented with short cap sleeves. The fitted bodice was embellished with Venise lace, peals and sequins. The back bodice had a V-back and closed with satin bridal buttons. The A-line skirt cascaded into a semi-cathedral train.

For her headpiece, she chose a one layer veil of silk illusion with a penciled edge attached to a headband of white satin roses.

Patricia Miller, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Brianna Loftin, daughter of the bride; Kristy Tillman, daughter of the groom; Toni Coltren, sister of the groom; and Tammy Poole and Blake Lee, friends of the couple.

Chriss Shivar, brother of the bride, was best man. Ushers were William Coltren Jr., son of the groom; Jesse Buford, brother-in-law of the groom; Michael Tillman, son-in-law of the groom; and Greg Bounds and William Best, friends of the couple.

Melinda Vasquez and Kelsey Vasquez, granddaughters of the groom, were junior bridesmaids.

Alexis Miller, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Dylan Miller, nephew of the bride, and Shane Tillman, grandson of the groom, were ring bearers.

Gayle Singleton directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register and distributing programs was Pat Hart.

A program of wedding music was provided by Leigh Scott, pianist, and Brian Knowles.

After a wedding trip to Harker’s Island, the couple is residing in Mount Olive.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Sleepy Creek Country Club.

On June 4, the bride’s father and stepmother held a rehearsal dinner.

Delores Turnage and Nicole McClary, co-workers of the bride, held a bridal luncheon June 2.

On May 1, Tammy Poole and Louise Foss, friends of the bride, held a bridal shower.
