PRINCETON — Heather Noel Faircloth and Stephen Ray Howell were united in marriage May 29 at 3 p.m.

The Rev. Dennis Pollock officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Princeton Church of God.

Parents of the bride are Dannie Nelson and Gail Massey Faircloth of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Massey of Mount Olive and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert N. Faircloth of Goldsboro.

Billy Ray and Patsy Pilkington Howell of Goldsboro are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Resser B. Pilkington of Smithfield, the late Israel Pilkington and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter S. Howell of Selma.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a scalloped, strapless, matte stain A-line gown adorned with lace and beading. The asymmetrical waistline flowed into an apron overlay with a lace and beaded insert skirt. Matching details continued on the cathedral train.

For her headpiece, she chose a tiara accented with pearls and rhinestones. She carried a bouquet of white stargazer lilies and white roses encircled with plumose.

Jo Ann Heath of Mount Olive, friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kim Faircloth of Sanford, sister-in-law of the bride; Becky Price of Goldsboro, sister of the groom, and Hope Radford of Goldsboro, friend of the bride.

Billy Ray Howell was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Scott Faircloth of Sanford, brother of the bride; Tracy Price of Goldsboro, brother-in-law of the groom; and LeRoy Bunn of Fayetteville, friend of the groom.

Carlie Carter, friend of the couple, was flower girl. Seth DeLawder, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

Sharon Dentzer directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register were Mr. and Mrs. Donny Oates.

Michelle Stallings distributed programs. The Rev. Ira Williford gave the prayer.

A program of wedding music was provided by Phil Eubanks, pianist, and Mr. and Mrs. Kent Bizzell, Sean Melvin and Donna Sullivan, vocalists.

After a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

The bride is a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College with a degree in funeral directing. She is employed as a funeral director with Howell Funeral Home and Crematory.

The groom graduated from Rosewood High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College with an associate’s degree in funeral service. He is president of Waynesborough Kiwanis Club. He is owner of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory and Animal Care Crematory.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

On May 1, Jo Ann Heath and Hope Radford, friends of the bride, held a lingerie shower at the Heath home.

Kim Faircloth, sister-in-law of the bride, held a bridesmaids’ luncheon April 24 at Mrs. Lacy’s Tea Room of Sanford.

On March 28, the ladies auxiliary of United In Christ held a bridal shower.

Friends and family of the couple held a miscellaneous bridal shower March 4 at Riverside Free Will Baptist Church of Princeton.

The couple held a rehearsal dinner at Becky’s Log Cabin Restaurant of Smithfield. They chose this time to present gifts to their attendants.
