Pamela Elizabeth Hardy and Brandon Scott “Scotty” Howard were married Dec. 20 at noon.

Bishop Joseph Scott officiated at the double-ring ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell F. Hardy of Mount Olive. She is the granddaughter of William F. Hardy of Dade City, Fla., Nellie Eudine Hardy and Zoila E. Ramirez of Tampa, Fla., and the late Hermeregildo Ricardo Ramirez.

The groom is the son of Rose Herring of Mount Olive. He is the grandson of Selma Stroud and the late Owen Stroud.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal white fitted lace gown with a short train. It was covered in hand-sewn pearls and iridescent sequins.

For her headpiece, she chose a fingertip-length single layer veil sprinkled with pearls and a sterling silver tiara with pearls and Austrian crystals. She carried a bouquet of poinsettias, white roses and holly.

Alexis L. Forney of Mount Olive, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Danielle M. Jaffe of Mount Olive, cousin of the bride, and Marlena Thomas of Mount Olive, friend of the bride.

Gregory Mobley was his friend’s best man. Groomsmen were Richard W. Hardy of Mount Olive, brother of the bride, and Willard R. Forney of Mount Olive, cousin of the bride.

Jacob Harley Herring of Mount Olive, brother of the groom, was ring bearer.

The couple is residing in Mount Olive.

The bride is a graduate of North Duplin High School. She is employed as a US Cellular representative with Airwaves of Wallace.

The groom is employed as a certified mobile home mover with a background in roofing.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held.
