PREP VOLLEYBALL: Rosewood drops 5-setter to Fike

Rosewood nearly picked up its second win of the season until Fike stormed back to claim a 25-14, 16-25, 20-25, 25-16, 15-12 win Tuesday evening.
Braylee Butts paced the Eagles' offense with 12 kills and led the defense with eight digs.
Laine Marak contributed five kills and five blocks for the Eagles. Teammate Lana Nuwara collected four aces and six kills, while Miyah McCall provided two aces and five kills.
Kaitlyn Kincaid doled out 23 assists.
Rosewood stumbled in the third set, but closed out county rival Spring Creek 25-6, 25-15, 22-25, 25-20 in non-conference play on Monday.
The Eagles snapped a three-game skid.
Kincaid posted 18 assists.
Butts recorded three aces, six kills and four digs. Marak provided three aces, five kills and two digs. Honn contributed one ace and six kills.
Nuwara added five aces, eight assists and two kills.
Rosewood (1-4 overall) entertains Goldsboro on Thursday.
