PREP FOOTBALL: Athletes of the Week

Goldsboro quarterback Brody Morton and Eastern Wayne lineman Quadrez Lassiter have been selected as the News-Argus Prep Football Athletes-of-the-Week for games played Aug. 17.
Morton completed 10-of-10 passes for 252 yards and three TDs, and directed the Cougars to the end zone on their first seven offensive possessions of the game.
Lassiter, a junior, recorded a team-leading 11 tackles in the Warriors' season-opening loss to Hunt.
