NAHUNTA DRAGWAY: Pikeville's Lucas prevails

Jamie "The Kid" Lucas, who hails from Pikeville, tamed Nahunta Dragway and won the highly-competitive Mod/Footbrake race. Newport's Ross Gould, Jr., placed second, while Kenly's Darrin Merritt reached the semifinals. A total of 23 Mods entered the night-long competition. Next Saturday's slate includes Mod E/T and Motorcycle E/T racing.
