Post 11 mashes Wallace

Wayne County Post 11 belted three home runs as a team and cruised to an 11-0, mercy-rule win over Wallace Post 156 on Tuesday evening.
Landon Ginn and Case Kermode each swatted a two-RBI, bases-clearing shot in the bottom of the second and fourth innings, respectively. Aryc Chrisman sealed the outcome with a pinch-hit, walk-off two-run blast in the fifth.
Post 11 collected 10 hits on the night.
Kermode batted 3-for-3 with three RBI. Ginn and Carson Smitherman contributed two hits apiece. Avery Browning and Andrew Fricks (three RBI) each provided one hit.
Justin Edwards and Josh Hartsfield combined for a four-hitter on the bump. Edwards earned the decision, fanning three Wallace batters in a four-inning stint. Hartsfield threw a scoreless fifth.
Wayne County (2-0 overall) entertains Area I West powerhouse Garner today. First pitch is 7 p.m. on the Goldsboro High diamond.
