Princeton eliminated
SMITHFIELD -- Emma Marques tallied Princeton's lone goal in a season-ending, 3-1 loss to Neuse Charter during the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1-A playoffs Monday evening.
Emily Rubis filed 11 saves for the Dogs.
Princeton ended the year 14-6-0 overall.

Barbara Hill seized game-of-the-week honors while playing from the red tees on the Lane Tree Golf Club links.
Jeannette Sasser and Nan Jarrell secured low net and low putts, respectively.
Linda Watson earned GOW accolades while competing from the forward tees.
Libby Newsome took low net. Betty Jean Gurley won low putts.
