Triton High broke up a 9-all tie with nine runs in its half of the eighth inning on Wednesday, turning back Rosewood, 18-9, in the season-opener for both teams.
Laine Marak had a monster outing at the plate for Rosewood, recording two base knocks, a grand slam and six RBI.
Macy Tyndall finished with two base hits and one RBI.
Allecia Langdon and Kiandra Taylor had two hits apiece, while Rylee Joe Myers added an RBI.
Rosewood (0-1) next takes the diamond today, when it travels to Wilson Fike for a 5:30 p.m. tilt.
