WILSON -- Wake Tech commit Nathan Harrell fashioned a 3 for 3 outing at the plate, senior right-hander Cody Whaley allowed just one hit and Charles B. Aycock shellacked Wilson Hunt, 11-0, in mercy rule fashion on Wednesday.
The mid-week landslide was also the first victory for new CBA skipper Allen Thomas.
Harrell contributed a double, a home run and three RBI to the runaway win, one in which CBA opened with four runs in its half of the first inning and was never challenged.
Blake Gipson went 2 of 4 with a double and two RBI, while Carson Smitherman, Luke Frederick and Blake Dilda recorded two hits apiece.
Smitherman's outing included an RBI.
The Golden Falcons (1-0) are idle until Friday, when they take on Northern Nash in Pikeville.
