DUDLEY -- Samiya Bess scored a game-high 22 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and swatted three shots as Southern Wayne turned back ECC 3A and county foe Charles B. Aycock on Friday night in runaway fashion.

Ty'lisha May also played well for the hosts, scoring nine points. Machiah Moore finished with six points, 10 boards and six blocks.

Senior guard Cassandra Lassiter paced the CBA contingent with a team-high 14 points.

The Lady Saints -- who travel to face D.H. Conley next Tuesday in Greenville -- now stand 6-11 overall this season, and 3-6 in league play.

Charles B. Aycock (3-15, 2-8 ECC) also returns to the floor on Tuesday, playing host to South Central in Pikeville.
